Abstract

This study aims to analyze the actions on the food environment for the prevention of obesity developed at international and national levels. We analyzed the reports and reports from international bodies to characterize and conceptualize the food environment and its impacts on obesity, and subsequently, codified a set of studies on the brazilian policies related. The results demonstrate initiatives of international agencies with recommendations to improve the regulatory capacity of the federal governments about the food environments, especially measures sweetened drinks and subsidies for healthy foods.
